getITgirl partnered with the Society for Information Management (SIM) Women of South Florida, Alturna-Tech, Nutanix, and Rachel Corcia Photography to hold a networking event for women at the Modern 60s Wine Lounge in old downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Debbie Wilson, Guest Speaker and Owner of Digidebb, was the former VP/CIO at ADT Security Services and former VP of IT at TYCO/Johnson Controls. She spoke with the group about her humble beginnings in IT, how her career took her to multiple countries in the world, over-coming some of the struggles of being a female leader in a male-dominated industry, and how she recently opened her own firm.

getITgirl had our official launch on International Women's Day with a Women's Leadership & Tech Breakfast at the Tower Club - Ft. Lauderdale where we were surrounded by 130 women (and men who support them) for networking, breakfast, guest speaker, and panel discussion.
We had a special Guest Speaker, Iris Polit, who is a Marketing Maven, Personal Branding & Career Strategist, Best-Selling Author, and Emmy-Winning Documentary Producer.
We also had some great panelists and sponsors who helped make the morning a huge success!
